GI Energy’s 9 Life Saving Rules define the non-negotiable safety behaviours required from every employee, contractor, specialist and partner working for or on behalf of our company. They focus on activities where failure to follow essential controls could result in serious injury or loss of life.

These rules apply throughout every stage of our work, from mobilisation and site preparation to inspection, testing, repair, lifting, reassembly and final handover. Everyone is expected to understand the applicable controls, verify that they are in place and intervene whenever an unsafe condition or behaviour is identified.

At GI Energy, safety is a shared responsibility. Every person has the authority and obligation to stop work when conditions are unsafe, controls are missing or the task differs from the approved plan. Work may only resume after the risk has been reassessed and the required controls have been confirmed.

By following these nine rules consistently, we protect our people, our clients, the plant and everyone affected by our activities. No schedule, production target or operational urgency takes priority over performing the work safely.
