GI Energy Resources (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysia-based independent generator service company supporting power plants across Southeast Asia. We provide integrated inspection, overhaul, diagnostics, repair and technical field services for utility and industrial generators.
The company is led by Gaffa Razak, a generator specialist with more than 20 years of hands-on industry experience. Beginning his career as a mechanical fitter and progressing into field engineering and technical advisory roles, he has supported critical generator projects involving GE, Alstom, Mitsubishi, Dongfang and other machine designs.
This experience shapes GI Energy’s practical approach: understand the machine, control the outage risks, document the work properly and deliver solutions that protect long-term generator reliability.

With 20+ years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance, overhauls, and rewinds, our Technical Advisor delivers expert solutions for power plants across Southeast Asia and beyond. He has worked on major OEM and OOEM machines—including ALSTOM, GE, Mitsubishi, Dongfang, and more—solving complex issues in both steam and gas turbine generators.
Starting as a mechanical fitter and rising to certified field engineer, he now leads critical turbo-generator projects with a focus on quality, safety, and performance. A proud member of IEEE, he ensures GI Energy’s services align with global standards and deliver lasting results—especially for aging fleets where experience is everything.
